Seattle has many distinct neighborhoods to choose from and has something for everyone. Here are some of the best places to live when you're looking for a Seattle apartment for rent:

First Hill

Positioned between downtown Seattle and Capitol Hill, First Hill is one of the city's most walkable and transit-connected neighborhoods, earning a Walk Score of 99 and a Transit Score of 100. Known locally as "Pill Hill" for its concentration of world-class medical institutions, the neighborhood draws young professionals, healthcare workers, and academics who want a central address with real urban character.

Capitol Hill

Just east of First Hill along Broadway, Capitol Hill is one of Seattle's most vibrant neighborhoods, known for its restaurant and bar scene, the Pike-Pine Corridor's nightlife, Cal Anderson Park, and a creative community that has long defined the city's arts and music identity.

Downtown Seattle / Belltown

The city's urban core just west of First Hill offers residents direct access to Pike Place Market, the Seattle Waterfront, Seattle Center, and the Financial District, along with some of the most connected transit in the region.

South Lake Union

Home to Amazon's campus and a growing cluster of tech, biotech, and life sciences employers, South Lake Union has transformed into one of Seattle's most in-demand neighborhoods for young professionals, with new restaurants, waterfront access to Lake Union, and a walkable, bike-friendly street grid.

First Hill offers a way of living in Seattle that is hard to replicate elsewhere in the city, combining walkability, transit connectivity, and proximity to world-class medical institutions, downtown Seattle, and some of the Pacific Northwest's most celebrated cultural destinations. Here are some of the standout features that make First Hill a great place to call home:
